Claudia Kendall

We have been able to ‘hold it together’ during some of the scarier days with this help and support.

Claudia Kendall’s Story

Teenager Claudia Kendall from Canberra shared her beautiful smile and positive attitude with our Westmead House for 99 nights earlier this year, right before COVID restrictions were fully enforced.A 15-year-old in year 10, Claudia is a keen sportswoman and competitive rower whose daily training was abruptly halted in February, after a lump on her neck was diagnosed as Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Happily, Claudia received the all clear to return home in early June, with her parents Matt, Georgia and 4 brothers!

Just before she returned home, The Daily Telegraph featured Claudia on their front page in a story celebrating the return of football-the Eels first game.

Before returning home, her Mum had this to say in a card of thanks…
“From your smiles to sanitisers, Meals from the Heart to the Daily Telegraph we have had a ton of fun and have been able to ‘hold it together’ during some of the scarier days, with your support. We look forward to seeing your welcoming faces again over the coming months and years as Claudia regains her health and strength”.
