RMHC NSW GALA BALL 2022

COMMITTEE & FUNDRAISING

The RMHC NSW Ball Committee organise the NSW Gala Ball – the major fundraising event each year in September to raise money for all of the Ronald McDonald House Charities Chapters, programs and activities across NSW.

We are a small, volunteer based committee comprising members from McDonald’s Franchisees and corporate staff, public relations partners and other interested individuals.

The first RMHC NSW Ball was held in 1987 and has since grown to accommodate over 1,100 guests at our 2019 Gala Ball where we raised $1,100,000.  Due to COVID-19 a digital fundraising campaign was initiated in 2020 and again in 2021, raising $650,000 and $800,000 respectively.  We have raised in excess of $15,000,000 for the Charity so far.  2022 will mark the 36th event organised by our committee.

Our Ball has been host to a fantastic line up of personalities in the role of MC such as Shelley Craft, Lisa Wilkinson and Luke Jacobz, along with headline entertainment from Leo Sayer, David Campbell, Ricki-Lee Coulter and Guy Sebastian, and bands such as Furnace and the Fundamentals, Potbelleez and Bjorn Again to dance the night away!

We focus on the vital importance of Ronald McDonald House Charities for families of seriously ill children - when a child becomes seriously ill, life is turned upside down in a single moment. When specialist care is hundreds of kilometres away, Ronald McDonald House ensures mums and dads are close to their child as they fight the biggest battle of their lives, together.

Our purpose is in providing partners with the opportunity to make an immediate yet lasting impact for a family and Ronald McDonald House Chapters in NSW.

We need donations to keep caring for families living in our Houses today, and for the ones that will knock on our door tomorrow.
